December Doings!

Sunday afternoon nap

Yee ha!

Skye LOVES Santa....no matter how many times we see him.

CJ didn't know what to think of Santa........

Until he got a candy cane!

Sledding at Woods Cross Ranch

This is how we had to get them up the hill by the end because we were so tired!

This is Skye's face of the month...she has many.

CJ learned how to cheese for the camera!

A little scary, yet precious

Colt wrapped a live chicken as our gift.
This month has been eventful already!  We started off playing in the Toys for Tots softball tourney, which we were both a little rusty, but it was fun to play again.  Then we kicked off our holiday festivities by going to the Iron Mission State Park Christmas.  They had all sorts of activities for our kids to do like making a Christmas card on a printing press, making rag dolls, homemade ornaments, and last but not least the kids got to see Santa!  We went up the canyon and chopped down our own Christmas tree which I'm so proud of!  Colt picked a dandy!  We decided to go sledding on our way down the canyon, and Skye was a wild woman!  She only wanted to go by herself.  Colt and I held our breath every time she went down, hoping she wouldn't run into a tree.  CJ was soooo mad if he was sitting on the sled and not moving, so we had to hike up and down the hill 50 times between both kids.  We had a blast.  Then to keep the busy streak going my friend and I decided to host an ugly sweater/white elephant party.  There were some dandy gifts!  Colt and I went home with a 10 gal bucket, and some "beautiful" homemade reindeer decorations, which are now tied to the front of our car.  The best part was Colt wrapped a live chicken for one of our gifts, and it scared the living daylights out of the guy that opened it.  I don't think we will be able to top that gift for a long time.  We can't wait for Christmas and we are loving this holiday season!  Until next time!

Family Pics 2010

We decided to get some family pics, now that we are a family of four.  My wonderful friend Michelle took some pictures for us and she did a great job.  I loved all of them.  We love our little family and couldn't be happier!

Fall Fun!

The fall started out with a marathon......the St. George one to be exact.  Jessica ran the entire thing and she was a champ!  We went down to support her, and we had a blast with everyone.  We were so proud of Jess it was quite the accomplishment.
By the time Jessica got there CJ was pooped!  What a great big pillow to sleep on!  Grandpa Samps is the baby whisperer.

She asked for chocolate milk right when she was done....weird I know

The best part was Colt and Bryan finishing the race with Jess...painted chests and all.  Everyone kept asking, "who is OG?"  Bryan wanted blue for BYU, and Colt wanted red for Utah.
Eat your heart out Jacob Black!  I really think the Sampson bros could have been the wolves on Twilight.  Just a thought.

Colt ran the last mile with Jess in flip flops

We decided to go to the splash pad one last time.

We also got to go to St. George the following weekend to watch this stud muffin of a man play basketball and softball in the SENIOR games.  You are welcome Dad.  You really aren't that old.

Our little Skye started preschool and Colt and I both sat at the kitchen table and shed a few....yes...tears.  I can't believe how fast she is growing up.  She loves school, and is getting too smart for her own good!

The Friday before Halloween Colt came around the corner in this get up and seriously wore it to work.  I walked into his work to visit with the kids and I saw him talking to a guy about life insurance dressed like Jack Sparrow.  Let's just say the guy wasn't buying it.
We got to go to our cute Nater's last football game.  He had a great game!

The kids with Ryker. Yes, Skye is cross-eyed.
This is Jessica (Johnson) Sampson's costume and Wes was GI Joe.  They always have the best costume.

Pig Barbie, ever heard of her?

The Blackout game which was definitely NOT one of the highlights of fall so far.

 Raking up the fall leaves!
