Planting Time!

So...now that football is over, Colt feels like he has to fill the void with something else. Let's just say if he is not at work, or school, he is in the garden. Our backyard has a huge garden that was calling his name! Dale and Cindy have always had an awesome garden, and Colt thought that it would be a good idea to have one of our own. We have been to the IFA store at least five times, used up all of Dale's cell phone minutes, and still don't know what we are doing. Dale said, "It's all about the adventure!" So we have never looked back. Colt has worked so hard to get everything ready and our yard looks great! We planted potatoes, peas, corn, radishes, and beets. We are waiting to plant tomatoes, cantelope, squash, zucchini, and cucumbers. Last but not least, if you know any Sampson boy they have to have something manly in anything they do, so Colt bought the seed packet for a 100 pound pumpkin. I am not going to lie, I am curious to see if it works....any of it. I will keep you posted on how it goes. Wish us luck!

CJ is 4 months now and he is a tank! He weighed 16 lbs. 4 ozs. and his length was 26 inches. He is getting so fun to play with. I'm so happy he laughs because Skye was a tough crowd when she was a baby. I was starting to think I wasn't very funny! He still can't roll over, he just suffocates himself in the ground, so we have some work to do there. His hair grows an inch a day I swear. Tone gave him his first hair cut a week ago, and it has already grown out. I am going to have to start trimming his hair like I trim the lawn! He is starting rice cereal, which I thought he would love, but doesn't want anything to do with it. I give him a couple weeks though. We love our little CJ. He is such a sweet, happy baby and we are blessed to have him!
