CJ is 4 months now and he is a tank! He weighed 16 lbs. 4 ozs. and his length was 26 inches. He is getting so fun to play with. I'm so happy he laughs because Skye was a tough crowd when she was a baby. I was starting to think I wasn't very funny! He still can't roll over, he just suffocates himself in the ground, so we have some work to do there. His hair grows an inch a day I swear. Tone gave him his first hair cut a week ago, and it has already grown out. I am going to have to start trimming his hair like I trim the lawn! He is starting rice cereal, which I thought he would love, but doesn't want anything to do with it. I give him a couple weeks though. We love our little CJ. He is such a sweet, happy baby and we are blessed to have him!

Weekend with the Weddles

We got to go to Chanel's moms house in New Harmony and it was awesome! Skye finally got to put her red cowgirl boots to work! She got to ride horses and 4 wheelers, roast marshmallows, and play with Brooklyn. She had so much fun that when I went upstairs to get her she yelled "not go home!" before I could even open the door. Chanel's mom Sonya played with the kids so that we could catch up a little. Colt was in heaven because he got to sit and watch the Laker's game with Eric. We don't have TV so he was loving the big screen. It was fun to see our long lost pals that we used to go on crazy adventures with. Life has definitely changed since we both had 2 kids thrown into the mix. Hopefully next time we meet up it will be in sunny San Diego, I'm sick of the dang snow!

Westin's Wedding and Easter

My husband must have felt the love in the air because he came home with flowers for no reason at all. I think because his brother was getting married all the memories starting flowing back of the wonderful, blessed day he married me! HA! Really though he is just thoughtful.



Westin and Jessica had the best wedding! They had a photo booth for their wedding book, an ice cream machine, IBC root beer, cobbler, and candy to take home with you. Yes, I would put the food first, but the most important part was the wedding. Jessica looked beautiful, and Wes didn't look too bad himself. We are so glad they finally got hitched and Jess will be a part of the Sampson clan.







Last but certainly not least we had a great Easter weekend playing workup in the backyard, Easter egg hunts, wonderful food, and conference! It was a fun, eventful weekend that was topped off with great words from general authorities. I'm ready to
take a nap now!

Bribes are the bomb!

Skye has had troubles staying in her bed lately and we have been through everything like leaving the light on, taking her back to her bed a million times, and flat out ignoring her. I decided enough was enough because I can't be up with a new baby and a 2 year old. Skye is in love with her friend Emmy's princess dresses, so I decided to bribe her with one of her own. I bought it and told her she could wear it the next day if she stayed in her bed all night. Let's just say she slept in her own bed 4 nights in a row! I let her wear it 4 days in a row everywhere we went. I never thought I would let my kid do that, but anything for a good sleep right?

Update on the chillins

I can't believe how big both of my babies are getting. I never thought CJ would get big, and Skye won't stop growing. I get asked all the time if Skye is 3 or 4 because she is so tall. We are going to get her into volleyball camps as soon as they let her because we have a future Olympian on our hands. She is getting so funny and creative. Her latest and greatest is she whenever I get mad at her she follows me around until I laugh at her. I want to stay mad so bad, but she is way too funny. For example, she will say "mom what time is it?" and keep repeating it. As soon as I look at her she says, "5:13". I don't know why that is funny, but I laugh at it every time. Then when I laugh she will say, "sorry mom, that's ok". I love it! She is a little too much like her dad. He does the same thing when I am mad at him.

CJ is getting huge! I swear he gained 2 pounds in 1 week. His legs are getting big and he is getting a melon! I hope it's making room for that big brain he is going to have. He is so fun! He laughed for the first time this past weekend. It melted my heart. He loves Skye and smiles at her all the time. I am loving every minute of this kid. P.S. His hair stands up like that naturally. I don't style it that way (Ok, I do the fohawk, but it really does stick straight up like that).

B's 30th Birthday and Mom's 60th Bash

My family has been known to be a little crazy. This month has proved that statement to be true, twice. My Mom turned 60 so we put on a big party/tribute for her. Let's just say we partied like it was 1969 (as much as we could for being in a church). Everyone showed up in their 60's get-up to honor our great Mom. Brent turned 30 and Ashley threw him a Saved by the Bell Party. She had prizes for best costume and a trivia game which was ruled by my sister Kristen. She apparently had no life in High School because she knew the answer to every question. We had a blast! I have such a fun family that isn't afraid to be a little bit crazy once in a while. Let's just hope we don't have another themed party until I turn 60!

CJ's blessing

Well....it's official. Colt Jay Sampson II was blessed this Sunday. Colt kept saying he was going to change his name to Reuban, but I'm sure glad that didn't happen. Colt gave CJ a beautiful blessing, and I'm so glad to have such a great hubby! We had such a great weekend with family and friends. We had every single family member from both of our families came. Let's just say that we fit about 50 people in Cindy's living room. She is a saint! We are so blessed to have such a great family.
